This AI practice (“we,” “us”) is run by its founder, Vytas Skapcevicius, and is being set up as its own company, [Legal entity name, LLC]. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and the conversations that start here, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers the website, not client work. If your business hires us, the data we handle inside your systems is governed by your contract with us. See “Client data during an engagement” below.
The short version
- We collect what you type into our forms, what you tell us on a call, and basic technical data needed to run the site.
- We use it to answer you, to send what you asked for, and to keep the site working and secure.
- We do not sell it. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
- We never use it to sell you insurance, and we never give it to an insurance business for that business’s own use, including the ones our founder owns.
- You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Discovery form. Your name, work email and company, and whatever you choose to add: phone number, your role, the size of your agency, the kind of business, what you are most interested in and your message. We also record the page you sent it from, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed.
- Booking a call. Our calendar runs on Calendly. When you book, Calendly collects your name, email, the time you choose and anything you add, and sends us a copy. Campaign tags from the link you followed travel with the booking, so we know where it came from. Calendly’s own privacy policy also applies to what you enter there.
- White-paper requests. Your name, work email, company and kind of business, and which paper you asked for. If a paper is not released yet, we keep your request so we can send it when it is.
- Emails and calls. What you tell us when you write to us or speak with us.
Please do not put sensitive information in a website form: no client or policyholder records, driver records, Social Security numbers, bank or card details, passwords or other login details. If we ever need information like that, it is handled under a signed agreement and through a secure method we agree on with you.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data. Like any website, ours receives your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page that referred you and the time of the request. To stop spam, our contact form also keeps a scrambled form of your IP address with your request for one day, then deletes it. Our hosting and security providers process this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Analytics, if enabled. If we turn on analytics, we use a cookieless service that counts page views and reports general information such as the referring site, device type and country. It does not set cookies, and we do not use it to identify you or to follow you across other websites.
- No advertising tracking. We do not use advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels or retargeting.
Calculators
Our calculators run in your browser. The numbers you type in are not sent to us unless you choose to include them in a form you submit.
Information from other sources
Before a call, we may look at publicly available information about your company, such as its website, so we can prepare.
How we use it, and why
We use personal information only for the purposes below. In plain terms, here is why each one is allowed.
| What we do | Why we are allowed to |
|---|---|
| Reply to your message, and prepare for and hold the call you asked for | You asked us to |
| Send the white paper you requested | You asked us to |
| Follow up about whether we can help your business | Our legitimate interest in running our business. You can tell us to stop at any time |
| Send occasional updates, such as new papers or articles | Only if you agree. Every update includes a way to opt out |
| Keep the site working and secure, and prevent spam and abuse | Our legitimate interest in a safe, working site |
| Understand which pages are useful, in aggregate | Our legitimate interest in improving the site |
| Meet legal obligations and protect our rights | The law requires it, or we need it to establish or defend a legal claim |
We may use AI tools, under business terms, to help us read and organize what you send us, for example to summarize a long message. We do not use your information to train AI models.
What we never do with it
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
- We do not give it to any insurance business for that business’s own use. That includes the independent insurance agency and the life insurance agency owned by our founder.
- This AI practice is being set up as its own company. Until its own accounts are in place, a few of the tools we use are shared with our founder’s insurance businesses: the email account that receives our form alerts, and the cloud account that runs this site. Your information is held there only so we can run the site and answer you, and every promise on this page applies to it.
- We do not use it to market insurance to you, your employees, your clients or your drivers.
Who receives it
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers that help us run the site and our business: website hosting and security, email, form storage, analytics (if enabled) and AI tools. They may use it only to provide their service to us. You can ask us which providers we use.
- Professional advisers, such as our lawyers and accountants, who are bound to keep it confidential, when they need it to advise us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect someone’s safety or to defend our legal rights.
- A successor, if our business is sold or merged, on the condition that it keeps the promises in this policy, including the promise not to give your information to an insurance business for its own use.
How long we keep it
- Discovery-form messages and related emails. While we are discussing a possible engagement, then for [retention period] after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- White-paper requests. Until we have sent the paper and you are no longer receiving updates, then for [retention period].
- Technical logs. For the short period our hosting and security providers keep them, [retention period].
- If you become a client. Your contract sets how long we keep information.
We may keep information longer when the law requires it or when we need it to resolve a dispute.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections to this site and access limited to the people who need it. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Our Security & trust page describes how we work.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop sending you marketing emails. You can also use the unsubscribe link in any such email.
Depending on the state you live in, state privacy laws may give you additional rights, such as the right to know how your information is used, to appeal our decision on a request, or to opt out of the sale of personal information or targeted advertising. We do neither. We will respond to every request, and where a state law applies, we will meet its requirements and deadlines.
To make a request, write to [contact email] or [mailing address]. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Browser privacy signals. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, which we do not do in the first place.
Children
This website is meant for adults acting for a business. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Visitors outside the United States
We operate from the United States, and this site is meant for businesses in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States, and our service providers may also handle it in other countries.
Client data during an engagement
When a business hires us, we may connect to its systems, such as an agency management system, a CRM, mailboxes, a phone system, a transportation management or telematics system, or fuel-card data, to build and run what the business hired us for. Those systems often hold information about that business’s own customers, employees and drivers.
That information is not governed by this website policy. It is governed by the written contract between us and that business, including any data-processing terms in it. In that work we act on the client’s instructions: the contract sets what we may access, what we may do with it, how long we keep it and what happens to it when the engagement ends. The commitments in “What we never do with it” apply there too. Our Security & trust page explains our general practices.
If you are a customer, employee or driver of one of our clients and have a question about your information, please contact that business first. We will help them answer you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you through a notice on this site, or by email if we have your address.
